Corvette Drive by Parade

By Leslie & Dave Wilkinson | 5/27/2020

Dave and I enjoyed putting together a Corvette Drive by Parade for eight different senior residences in the Eagle and Meridian area.

Thank you to all the Corvettes who heard about this parade from any of the many places I posted and joined us to participate! And thanks for the fabulous cars you shared as part of this parade! The number of Corvette participants (something between 35 and 40 --- I lost count!) was far more than we expected for this impromptu event... and as someone said to us “The smiles on the faces of our seniors made it all worthwhile”.

This project originated from the fact that my mother lives in Revel Eagle and they aren’t getting out in these days of COVID, so we brought a little cheer to them and other residences. Thanks to Revel Eagle, Grace Assisted Living, Salmon Creek Living, Affinity Senior Living, Foxtail Senior Living, Edgewood Spring Creek Eagle Island, Edgewood Spring Creek Eagle Road and Eagle Manor for having us!

We finished our run at City Hall in Eagle where Mayor Jason Pierce greeted us. He was great to have his support and he helped us publicize this fun parade! “Honk if you see these Amazing People, what a wonderful thing to make someone’s day a happier one!  Honks & Engine Revving Acceptable!!”

What else can we say ----- fun to drive, fun to brighten spirits! Great day! Thanks for your support!
