2021 Board of Directors News

Dear Members,

I hope this message finds all of you well and/or healing from any medical issues you may have had in the last few months.  As you know, Valley Corvettes has been pretty quiet because of the COVID 19 pandemic and the restrictions we have encountered. However, your Board of Directors has been working behind the scene. It was a unanimous decision to postpone the 2021 VetteFest until 2022. Since the event takes many months to plan there has been no way to get the planning underway during the Stage 2 restrictions. Also, there had been very little interest among the membership to volunteer to act as coordinators for the committees. Without volunteers a feat that large simply cannot happen. The most important thing here is, it is essential for all of us to protect ourselves, our families, and the community from contacting the virus.

We would like to encourage the club to have some sort of a smaller car show on July 24, 2021 at Kleiner Park so we can protect our VetteFest date. The 24th has been reserved since last year and, hopefully, by then we will be allowed use the park.

Please be aware that the election of officers is coming up at the end of this month. You will receive the ballot and voting instructions from Sandy Blaser. It is still uncertain whether or not we will be able to hold the induction dinner. Keep watching emails for more information.

Thank you for hanging in there with us. Be safe and stay healthy!

Dawna Jackson-Sanford,

President
