Valley Corvettes once again hosted our 3 day
VetteFest event July 17-19, 2025!
It was an awesome three days! We had 250+ participants with over 160 Corvettes at the car show! Thank you to ALL the volunteers who helped put this great event together. This was our 25th year hosting the event and it was great!
Valley Corvettes President and VetteFest '25 Coordinator, Randy Pardue and his team of volunteers worked tirelessly over the last two years to plan and organize this great event! This included registration, reservations, technology, set-up & tear down, parking, sound & lighting, raffles, auctions, poker run, goodie bags, sponsors and much more.
VetteFest '25 kicked off early Thursday, July 17th, with the registration ladies greeting our guests from multiple states and clubs at The Riverside Hotel in Boise. They were hardworking handing out registration packets, giving goodie bags full of swag and answering questions. Torx Auto Spa was busy taking appointments for mobile car wash and detailing.
Thursday afternoon entertainment was at Fast Lane Indoor Kart Racing for some competitive racing. VetteFest had the whole place to ourselves and there were 50+ drivers and plenty of spectators to cheer us on! The electric karts were only a few inches off the ground, giving the sensation of speeds in excess of 80 mph. It was a whole lotta fun with the adrenaline rushing! There was a men's and women's class as well as an overall and sponsor class. It came down to a race off with the top 10 drivers to see who was the champion! (See all the VetteFest '25 winners here).
Back at The Riverside Hotel, VetteFest had a Welcome Evening Social Event. It was a great way to meet old friends, make new ones and welcome all the VetteFest participants. There was a no host bar and plenty of great hors-d'oeuvres.
Friday, July 18th, event registration and packet pickup continued. Very dedicated ladies working 9 hours a day! The set-up and parking guys were up very early prepping the park for Saturday's car show.
Next on the agenda Friday, was our Poker Run. It was organized as a lunch run with a poker run on the side! The first poker chip was drawn at The Riverside Hotel, then we had a choice of two ways to go on the route (clockwise or counterclockwise). It was a leisurely drive, perfect for Corvettes along the Payette River and through the beautiful Idaho countryside. Along the way we went through Emmett, Sweet and Avimor (Boise) with poker chip draws inside each of the designated restaurants. Time was built into the run to stop for lunch at any of the restaurants: Kate's Country Kitchen, Anderson Reserve or Spring Creek Brewing Company. Upon the return to The Riverside Hotel was the final poker chips draw, with a bonus draw for lunch receipts. Bobby Petersen from our Premiere Club Sponsor Fairly Reliable Bob's drew the numbers for the poker chip values. Then we tallied up the totals and kept our fingers crossed for a win!
At the Riverside Hotel, we rocked the night away at Friday evening's fun 50's themed social hour and banquet to celebrate Fairly Reliable Bob's 50th anniversary! Most folks dressed in 50's attire in everything from poodle skirts to bowling shirts. Lots of fun was had, seeing everyone in retro outfits! There was music, lights, audio and a fun photo booth from Vince Cavanagh from VCI Audio Entertainment. Poker run winners were announced and presented with Amazon gift cards.
Then came the highlight of the evening. Bobby Peterson of Fairly Reliable Bob's spoke about our VetteFest beneficiary, Breakthrough T1D (formerly known as JDRF) and why they are so special to him. He had us all in tears. Then the live auction began. There were 22+ packages available for live bidding, such as a Racing Suit Package, Mexico Vacation Package, etc. The packages were all donated by our sponsors, so 100% of the proceeds from the bidding went to Breakthrough T1D. Professional Benefit Auctioneer Kevin Troutt donated his time, and Bobby and volunteers from Breakthrough T1D were there to assist with the bidding process. It was fun to watch Bobby jump up and down and get excited with the back and forth bidding! After everything had been sold, VetteFest raised $25,280 for Breakthrough T1D!!! Than you very much for the generous Sponsors and big-hearted VetteFest participants!
After that we enjoyed the music from Solemates and danced the night away to 50's music. Everyone had a wonderful time!
Saturday, July 19 started super early for the set-up & parking guys, they were at the park at dawn setting up booths, sponsor banners, etc. and getting ready. Then Corvettes started arriving at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian for the car show! It was a beautiful day in the park with a nice cloud cover to keep the extreme heat away. The parking guys took pictures to coordinate with the car numbers and then carefully parked all the Corvettes by generation (C1-C8) in a "V" shape. What a beautiful array of cars!
Sponsors from Fairly Reliable Bob's and XPEL had vendor booths and there were food trucks for those who were hungry. Our Sapphire Level Sponsor Torro Restaurant Group (Barbacoa, Coa De Jima, COA Del Mar, Nick's Italian Ristorante and Ti Amo) had a food booth and provided a delicious sample of their famous paella (yum)! 50-50 tickets were sold throughout the car show and tickets were sold for the Fairly Reliable Bob's Win This Corvette give away later this fall. Great music and audio was was heard throughout the park.
Cleaning rags were down at 10 am and participant judging began! You couldn't vote for your own category of Corvette, but folks were encouraged to vote for the Corvette and not the person driving it. It was fun wandering around and seeing each Corvette and talking with the proud owners. Sponsor's also went around and voted on their favorite Corvette.
As the car show was winding down, Randy Pardue presented Bobby Petersen a check to Breakthrough T1D that was raised at the live auction Friday night! Also the winning ticket 50-50 ticket was drawn and the winner was Finis Logue from Gresham, OR getting $1,120 in cash! He generously donated $500 to Breakthrough T1D! A winning ticket was also drawn for the Mexico vacation from Fairly Reliable Bob's.
Saturday evening everyone gathered for the Social Hour and Awards Banquet. Food was again great, but everyone was anxiously waiting for the awards to be given out. Randy Pardue presented Fairly Reliable Bob's the Idaho Governor Brad Little Proclamation for 50 years of service to the Treasure Valley. They had four generations of family there to receive the award. Then a total of 56 awards were presented! The People's Choice went to Matt & Alana Price from Richland, WA. Congratulations to all!
VetteFest '25 concluded with music from Solemates, dancing and saying goodbye to our guests and friends.
VetteFest was a huge success, with lots of great feedback and comments. A special thank you to our sponsors and volunteers who made this all possible. Hope to see you all in 2027!
